A Family Day Out

Rays Farm is a special place to bring the family and enjoy a relaxing day in a little bit of Shropshire’s finest countryside.

From Guinea Pigs and Reindeer to Chickens and Owls,  not forgetting our Pygmy Goat paddock where you can stroll among our friendly goats and pet our latest goat kids, Rays Farm has plenty to offer.

In the Small Animal Barn, our latest arrivals are always on display.

Alongside the farm animals of Rays Farm, there are also two woodland walks, Mythical Woods and Fairytale Forest. Follow the Myth and Magic Wood Sculpture Trail through the ancient woodland paths to find all our unique wood carvings.

For children with boundless energy we have a choice of play areas to suit all ages, such as the Soft Play for tiny tots, pedal trikes for toddlers and two outdoor areas for older children. We offer a wooden activity trail close to the Farm Court Yard and a more daring Forest Play Area with den building and climbing ropes. For all ages, parents included, there is our lovely mini beach area – not too far from fresh refreshments!

After exploring Rays Farm, enjoy a Barista style coffee and freshly prepared panini in our Country Cafe. Handmade cakes and slices are always on offer too for those with a sweet tooth.

Before departing Rays Farm, take a moment to peruse our newly stocked gift shop. There are plenty of gifts to suit, from pocket money to birthday present or just as a treat for yourself.
